With a perfect track record across hundreds of reviews, this bike tour operation consistently impresses visitors with knowledgeable, personable guides who strike the perfect balance between informative and relaxed. Justin, Mavis, Lauren, and Tonya all get specific praise for their deep local knowledge, enthusiasm for New Orleans history, and genuine warmth. Reviewers appreciate that guides avoid the sensationalism common on tourist tours, instead offering authentic insights into the city's culture, architecture, and traditions. The cemetery portions and Garden District routes are particular highlights, with many saying the bike perspective offered views they couldn't get walking or driving. The practical side is equally solid. Bikes are comfortable and well-maintained, with staff going the extra mile on details like tire pressure checks and providing baskets, helmets, and locks. Tours accommodate various fitness levels with comfortable pacing, and same-day rentals are handled smoothly. Multiple routes are available depending on your interests, from outside the French Quarter to oak-lined streets through City Park. Just note that the on-site restroom is a porta-potty, so plan accordingly before arriving.
My husband and I had two days to spend in New Orleans and googled fun activities and came up with Paradise Pavement Bike Tours. We had a super fun day, strolling the neighborhoods on our bikes and stopping at local breweries and learning all about the city from Justin who grew up there and was a wealth of knowledge.
