Cruise to Shell Key for dolphin spotting, floats, and beach time
3.5
Dolphin cruise, Shell Key stop
Take a scenic intracoastal cruise toward Shell Key while you watch for dolphins along the way. Then spend about 2.5 hours swimming, floating, shelling, or relaxing before a smooth cruise back.
The boat anchors just offshore at Shell Key, and you will use a ladder to enter the water and walk or swim to shore, so expect to get wet. Outside alcohol is not permitted; an onboard bar sells alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Gratuity is not included, and crew tips are customary.
Cancel for a full refund up to 48 hours before departure. Within 48 hours is non-refundable; no-shows and late arrivals are non-refundable. If Coastal Cruises cancels due to unsafe weather, you get a full refund or can reschedule. If canceled for not meeting minimum passengers, you get a full refund.
Arrive at least 20 minutes early for parking, check-in, and boarding. If your group has 6 or more guests, arrive 30 minutes early so you can sit together. The boat departs at the scheduled time and can’t wait for late arrivals.
Yes. Every guest must complete a digital waiver before boarding. The reservation holder receives the waiver link and should forward it to everyone in the group.
The boat anchors just offshore instead of pulling up to the beach. Use a ladder to enter the water, then walk or swim to shore, so plan to get wet when getting on and off the boat.

Captains like Jason, Dylan, Paul, and their crews consistently earn high praise for being knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely attentive. Wildlife sightings are a real highlight, with dolphins and even manatees making regular appearances. The sandbar stop at Shell Key is a crowd favorite, and the Skyway Bridge light show adds something special to evening cruises. Crew members like Lexy stand out for keeping the energy up with great music and a welcoming vibe throughout. A few things worth knowing before you book: parking at Gulfport Marina is tight, so arriving at least 30-45 minutes early is a smart move. Bring a jacket for sunset and evening trips since it can get breezy once the sun drops. Some reviewers have noted occasional cancellations without advance notice, so it's worth double-checking your booking closer to the date. That said, the overwhelming majority of guests leave genuinely happy and many come back for a second trip.
Awesome trip!! The new boat was so comfortable, and Captains Dalton and Jason were so informative and accommodating. I would highly recommend the trip again.
