Explore Maui on a Yamaha WR250R dual-sport motorcycle with tight suspension for mixed-road riding. This model is permitted on the south-side route to or from Hana and off road.
What's Included
- Motorcycle
- Half-shell helmet
- Liability insurance, subject to age eligibility
Important details
- A valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement is required. Bring it for inspection on arrival; failure to present it results in cancellation without refund.
- Included insurance covers ages 21+. Riders under 21 require their own comprehensive insurance and a motorcycle-endorsed license.
- One rider only; you are the only authorized driver.
- Additional fuel, late-return, damage, replacement and service charges are not included in the listed price and may be charged to your card.
- Return the motorcycle with a full tank of 92-octane gasoline. A $25 fuel charge applies if the tank is not full.
- You are responsible for the first $5,000 of motorcycle damage, regardless of fault, plus lost rental revenue while repairs or parts keep it out of service. Full damage liability applies if you violate the rental terms or deliberately cause damage. Responsibility also includes vandalism and mechanical damage caused by negligent operation or failure to perform normal maintenance.
- A $50 charge applies for each lost key, flat tire, dead battery, missing registration card or missing no-fault insurance card. A missing license plate costs $125. A lost or damaged helmet incurs a minimum $100 charge, including for scratches or scuffs.
- You are responsible for tire-changing and roadside-service costs, lost or stolen tools and accessories, and parking or traffic fines. Related claims, recovery costs and legal expenses may also apply. Unpaid balances incur 1% interest per month.
- Keep the motorcycle on Maui. Do not race, ride recklessly, ride under the influence, tow vehicles or trailers, or transport people or property for hire. Do not carry surfboards, kayaks, canoes or gliders, or attach equipment without written permission. Violating operating rules ends your authorization to ride and invalidates insurance coverage.
- Wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Sign the waiver before riding; you can sign it in person on arrival.
- Check engine oil at every refueling. Make a police report immediately after any damage and within 2 hours of an accident. Failure to report or cooperate can leave you responsible for rental charges until the motorcycle is recovered.
- Remove the keys and leave the motorcycle locked when not in use. If it is missing or stolen, return the keys; otherwise, rental charges continue until recovery.
- Inspect the motorcycle before riding and remove your belongings before returning it. The motorcycle may be substituted for maintenance, and the rental may be terminated with an immediate-return requirement. All motorcycles are tracked by GPS.
- Return the motorcycle by the agreed due date and time. Returns 30 minutes or more late incur at least one hour of rental charges. If your late return causes the next reservation to be lost, you are liable for that reservation's full charges. Motorcycles not returned by the due date are reported to police as missing.
