Important details
- A valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement is required. Bring it for inspection on arrival.
- Riders under 21 require their own comprehensive insurance.
- Fuel and incident-related charges are not included in the listed price. Return the motorcycle with a full tank of 92-octane gasoline; a $25 fuel charge applies otherwise.
- You are responsible for motorcycle damage, including the first $5,000 regardless of fault, and lost rental revenue while the motorcycle is unavailable for repairs or parts. Mechanical damage caused by negligent operation or failure to perform normal maintenance is also your responsibility.
- A $50 charge applies for each lost key, flat tire, dead battery, missing registration card or missing no-fault insurance card. A missing license plate costs $125. You are also responsible for tire-changing and roadside-service costs.
- A minimum $100 charge applies for a lost helmet or any scratches, dents, scuffs, cracks or other damage to it.
- You are responsible for lost or stolen tools and accessories, parking and traffic fines, and claims or expenses arising from misuse of the motorcycle. These costs are not included in the listed price.
- Wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Sign the required waiver before riding; signing in person on arrival is available.
- Keep the motorcycle on Maui. Only the renter is authorized to drive, and all motorcycles are tracked by GPS.
- Follow traffic laws. Do not ride under the influence, race, ride recklessly, tow another vehicle or transport passengers or property for hire. Violating operating conditions ends your right to use the motorcycle and invalidates insurance coverage.
- Do not carry surfboards, kayaks, canoes or gliders. Written permission is required before attaching equipment or other items to the motorcycle.
- Check the engine oil at every refueling. Lock the motorcycle and remove the keys whenever it is not in use.
- Make an immediate police report for any accident or damage. If the motorcycle is missing or stolen, return its keys; rental charges continue until recovery if you do not.
- A substitute motorcycle may be provided if maintenance makes the reserved bike unavailable.
- Return the motorcycle in its original condition, allowing for ordinary wear, by the agreed return date and time. Returns 30 minutes or more late incur at least one hour of additional rental charges. If a late return causes the next reservation to be lost, you are liable for that reservation's full charges. Motorcycles not returned by the due date are reported to police as missing vehicles.
