- A one-day Alaska fishing license is required and is not included; it costs $15 per person and is free for children under 16
- Children under 4 are permitted only with prior arrangements and must follow parent safety directions
- A $25 fuel surcharge, not included in the listed price, applies to transportation for properties more than 15 miles from Fairbanks airport
- Bathroom breaks outside the ice-fishing shelter may be outdoors in remote areas
- Aurora sightings are not guaranteed; if weather prevents viewing, the ice-fishing portion may still operate
Cancellation Policy
Cancel more than 30 days before your tour for a full refund. Cancel 14–30 days before for a date change, or a 50% refund if no availability. No refunds within 14 days. If the operator cancels, you may reschedule or receive a full refund.

Dress in warm layers with a parka, snow pants or bibs, waterproof boots, a hat, face covering, and gloves or mittens. Bring hand and toe warmers, personal water, any extra snacks, and spare camera or phone batteries.
The snowshoeing portion of the Ice Fishing & Aurora Extravaganza is easy and casual, with the option to go for a walk instead.
A restroom is available during ice fishing. In the remote areas visited during the tour, plumbing is often unavailable and bathroom breaks may be outdoors.
