Chase clearer skies for a full aurora-oval viewing window
5–8 hrs
Up to 14 people
Transport, snacks, photos
Chase clear skies across remote Alaska during the main aurora-oval window, generally 11 pm–3 am depending on season and darkness. Aurora sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Full refund for cancellations more than 30 days before your tour. For cancellations 14–30 days before, receive a 50% refund if no alternate date is available. No refunds within 14 days. If the operator cancels, your tour will be rescheduled or fully refunded.
Wear boots and bring hand and toe warmers, extra wool socks, mittens or gloves, and a hat and scarf that cover your ears. Bring a phone charger, cables, or a battery bank, as electronics can drain quickly in the cold.
Bring your phone or camera. If you bring a camera, pack backup batteries and a tripod. Photography help is included on the aurora chase.
Weather may shorten the outing to a mini chase tour. If weather precludes aurora viewing, the tour will be canceled or rescheduled. Aurora sightings cannot be guaranteed.
