Know before you go
- Complete required online check-in and arrive 30 minutes before your start time
- Be at least 21 to rent
- Provide proof of boating experience for a rental without a captain
- Use a competent operator with at least 2 years of experience on similar-size vessels
- Operators must have no marine losses in 10 years, violations or suspensions in 5 years, or criminal convictions or no-contest pleas
- Complete the Florida boating safety course before arrival if born after January 1, 1988, unless you have a valid boating license; bring your certificate
- Request a captain if no one in your group meets the operator requirements
- Drivers must sign a liability waiver
- A $1,000 security deposit hold is placed at check-in and automatically released 48 hours after the rental ends if no damage occurs
