Spend 8 hours on a guided horseback ride from Rockin' Star Ranch
Eight Hours
4 people
Guide, Horse
Ride horseback for 8 hours through the Texas countryside with a cow guide. You’ll be matched with a horse based on your experience level for a safe, comfortable ride.
Closed-toe shoes are required, and long pants are strongly recommended. You’ll need to complete a short questionnaire and sign a waiver before your ride.
Non-refundable unless you cancel at least 14 days before the scheduled ride. Cancellations within 14 days are not eligible for a refund. If weather makes riding unsafe, you can reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice; rescheduled rides must be booked within 6 days, subject to availability.
Plan for a four-rider minimum. You can book with fewer riders, but the full price still applies.
Complete a short questionnaire about your riding experience so you can get matched with the right horse, and review and sign the waiver.
Wear closed-toe shoes. Long pants are strongly recommended for comfort and to help prevent rubbing while riding.
Rockin' Star Ranch Brenham
Guests consistently rave about the warm hospitality from Darrell, Julie, and Vivian, who create an incredibly welcoming atmosphere on this beautiful Texas property. The two-hour trail rides are a standout, with many reviewers appreciating that they get to brush, feed, and even tack up their own horses before heading out. The animals are clearly well-cared for, and the property itself is stunning with 150+ acres to explore, complete with various farm animals, a pool, and comfortable accommodations for overnight stays. What makes this spot special is the hands-on experience. You're not just sitting on a horse following a guide; you're learning about ranch life, meeting friendly farm dogs, and getting a genuine feel for country living. First-timers and experienced riders alike praise the staff's patience and knowledge. The location near Brenham adds convenience, giving you access to good restaurants and the charm of a small Texas town. One guest did mention a parking incident during an event, though the owners worked to address it. Overall, this is a peaceful escape that delivers exactly what you'd hope for in an authentic ranch experience.
Man, where do I start! As we drove into this secret paradise, the nerves from city life settled and a wave of peaceful discipline covered my body. Survival. Greeted by a pack of farm dogs, nature vs. nurture kicked in as my tiny city pup attempted his position with a growl but was quickly handled by the ones that run the place. Alpha. A pleasant warning of ranch life. Only the fittest survive and the honorable preserve. Oh, to be apart of something growing. Thanks to Julie for building my confidence in riding, to Vivian for keeping me fueled through the day, and to Darrell for keeping us all in line. The end.
