The guides here absolutely shine, with names like Elizabeth Decay, Lady Lex, Graveyard Greg, and Dark Alley coming up repeatedly for their entertaining storytelling and deep knowledge of San Antonio's dark history. People genuinely love how these guides balance spooky tales with historical facts, and several reviewers mention getting extra time or learning something new even on repeat visits. The tours include both walking and bus options, with stops at graveyards and historic sites around the city. Most visitors walk away impressed by how informative and engaging the experience is, especially appreciating the nighttime atmosphere when it's cooler and less crowded. A couple of reviewers noted this is more of a history-focused tour that stays outside buildings rather than going inside or using ghost-hunting equipment, so adjust expectations if you're looking for a heavily paranormal-focused experience. The shop itself gets positive mentions too. Overall, it's a well-loved activity that works for families and gives you a fun way to explore San Antonio's grimmer past.

A night tour is a smart way to see the city when it’s less busy and a whole lot less hot. I had been at a conference doing a lot of sitting so this helped us get some steps for the day while learning some interesting facts. Appropriate for most ages assuming you’re not too squeamish. The cost is reasonable for over an hour of an activity. The shop is pretty cool too!
