Great Barrier Reef Full-Day Pontoon Trip from Cairns

Cruise from Cairns to Moore Reef and explore at your own pace from a floating pontoon on the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Your option adds an instructor-guided introductory dive with no prior experience needed, a guided certified dive, or a 10-minute scenic helicopter flight.

Itinerary

1. 08:45–09:30: Meet at Reef Fleet Terminal.
2. 10:15: Travel by boat to Moore Reef.
3. 12:00: Explore the Sunlover Reef Cruises pontoon at Moore Reef, with 4 hours to enjoy its facilities and activities at your own pace.
4. Your selected option adds a guided activity at Moore Reef: a 10-minute scenic helicopter flight with Full Day Tour with 10 minute helicopter flight; an introductory dive lasting up to 1 hour, including the briefing and in-water time, with Full Day Tour with Introductory Dive; or a 1-hour guided certified scuba dive, with a maximum of 4 participants per guide, with Full Day Tour with Certified Dive.
5. Enjoy lunch. The helicopter option includes a buffet on the pontoon at 12:30. The introductory dive option includes a 1-hour buffet lunch on the pontoon, while the certified dive option allows 1 hour for lunch.
6. Explore Moore Reef on a 20-minute guided glass-bottom boat and/or semi-submersible tour.
7. 16:00: Depart by boat.
8. For the helicopter and introductory dive options, return to Reef Fleet Terminal at 17:30.

Important details

• The helicopter option welcomes all ages: infant tickets cover ages 0–1, child tickets ages 2–15, and adult tickets ages 16+.
• Dive options are for ages 12+ only. Ages 12–17 require an accompanying paying adult; adult rates apply from age 16.
• Diving is subject to health requirements. Some medical conditions prevent participation, and medical clearance may be required before travel.
• Certified diving requires an internationally recognised diving certification. Bring your certification or licence on the day.
• This activity is not wheelchair- or stroller-accessible.
• Arrive 15 minutes before departure.
