- Complete a waiver; a parent or guardian must sign for anyone under 18

- Most single kayaks have a 250 lb weight limit; tandem kayaks have a 450 lb combined limit
- Requires good health and paddling for two hours with and against the current
- Wear water shoes and clothing you do not mind getting wet; bring a towel and weather-appropriate essentials
- If lightning occurs during the tour, your guide will take the group to a safe landing until the storm passes
