Life jacket, Snacks, Transport
Explore an 8-mile stretch of the Gunnison River with Class I and II rapids. This gentler rafting trip is suited to adults and families with young children.
This half day trip is a relaxing float with wonderful scenic views of the rock canyon walls and desert ecology. Rafters will enjoy bird watching and maybe even some wildlife viewing.
You'll take a short hike to the Eagle Rock Shelter archaeological site inside the Gunnison Gorge National Conservation area. The site dates back 13,000 years. Petroglyph painted walls and ancient stone tools can be viewed at the site.
Rafters will continue their relaxing float through orchards, with views of the largest flat top mountain on the Grand Mesa. There are several great spots to get out and swim or stop and soak up some Colorado sunshine.
For rafters who want a little more adventure, we have single kayaks, double kayaks and paddle boards available to rent.
Your trip will conclude at a convenient and private take-out in Austin.
Cancellation notice must be received at least 60 days before your trip; a 10% service charge applies. Date changes are attempted, with no rescheduling fee.
