Half-Day Swimming at Wimberley's Blue Hole

Cool off in Blue Hole Regional Park's natural, spring-fed swimming hole surrounded by cypress trees. Swim, use the rope swings, or relax on the grassy swim lawn during the seasonal swim period.

Important details

• Accept the required liability waiver before participating
• Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the swim area
• Leave glass, alcohol, barbecue grills, fishing gear, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and extra-large inflatables at home
• Keep pets out of the swim lawn; smoking, vaping, tree climbing or jumping, and ground stakes are prohibited
• Expect swimming to be suspended if precipitation, groundwater flow, bacteria, visibility, or water levels become unsafe
• Expect a 30-minute swimming-area closure when lightning is within 10 miles; severe weather or approved events may close the park
