Beginner-Friendly Guided Rafting Through Weber Canyon
2–2.5 hrs
Guide, raft, safety equipment
Join a guided paddle-raft trip designed for beginners, families, and experienced paddlers. Enjoy an active small-group outing with canyon scenery and time on the water.
Small private groups receive a full refund with 7 days' notice. Large, corporate, and custom groups receive a 50% refund with 7 days' notice. Cancellations within 7 days, late arrivals, and no-shows are nonrefundable. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Schedule changes are allowed up to 48 hours before, subject to availability.
Arrive 30 minutes before your trip start time so you can check in, get fitted with a life jacket and paddle, and attend the safety talk. Late arrivals are usually not accommodated and are non-refundable.
Wear lightweight, quick-drying clothes and water sandals (closed-toe recommended; flip-flops are not). Bring a hat, sunglasses, a full water bottle for each person, and any needed medications (and tell your guide). Pack a rain jacket on rainy days, a warm layer on cool days, and a change of clothes to leave in your car.
Do not bring coolers or backpacks on the raft. Anything you bring can get wet, lost, or broken, so leave jewelry and valuables at home or in your car.
Destination Sports - Weber River Trips, 913 N. Henefer Frontage Road, Henefer, UT 84033
With a near-perfect rating across hundreds of reviews, this outfitter has clearly built a loyal following around the Weber River area. Guides like Trixie, Devin, Dawna, and Sofie come up repeatedly by name, which says a lot about the quality and consistency of the team. Reviewers highlight their knowledge of local history, wildlife, and flora, and several mention being spotted bald eagles and learning about everything from old mining towns to rock formations along the way. Beyond the guided experiences, the operation runs smoothly from start to finish. Reservations are easy, equipment rentals are hassle-free, and the staff is responsive when questions come up. A few reviewers noted that water levels can affect how exciting the rapids are, which is worth keeping in mind when planning, though most still had a great time regardless. The trips seem genuinely accessible for a wide range of ages and skill levels, including first-timers.
We had the most amazing time. Devin was a great guide, fun and informative. Beautiful scenery and an awesome experience. We will be visiting again next year!
