- Requires understanding of basic sight acquisition and trigger control
- Bring your own centerfire handgun with a strong-side hip holster, magazine carrier, at least three magazines, and 300 rounds of ammunition
- Revolver shooters require proficiency with speedloaders
- Do not bring bi-metal bullets, including Bear, Wolf, Tul, or Eastern Bloc ammunition
- Bring your own eye and ear protection; both are mandatory
- Complete the range's online waiver before class; it is required each year
