Cross the Big Island from Kona to waterfalls, coastal views, and Kīlauea
8-9 Hours
2–6 people
Travel cross-island from the Kona side to the rainforests, waterfalls, and volcanic landscapes of the Big Island. Visit Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park and explore scenic roads, coastal viewpoints, and Kīlauea’s summit area.
Itinerary adjustments may occur based on guide and guest discretion. Molten lava visibility cannot be guaranteed, and access may be limited by safety or park restrictions.
Full refund with 48 hours notice of cancellation. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. No-shows will be charged the full price.
Bring a reusable water bottle and reef-safe sunscreen. Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
Do not count on seeing molten lava. Volcano conditions are unpredictable, and active lava is often not accessible due to safety and park restrictions. When lava is visible from publicly accessible areas, your guide will prioritize viewing when conditions allow.
Rain is common on parts of this route, including rainforest areas and Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Ponchos are provided when needed. If conditions are unsafe or significantly impact visibility or access, your guide may adjust the itinerary or cancel for safety.
