The guides here consistently earn praise for striking that sweet balance between safety and adventure. Names like Garrett, Adam, Caleb, and Killian pop up repeatedly, with reviewers highlighting their technical skills, local knowledge, and ability to tailor trips to different groups. From 22 to 73-year-olds paddling together to guides entertaining teenagers, these folks know how to read a group and deliver the right mix of thrills, history, and laughs. What sets this operation apart is the attention to detail and convenience. The equipment is well-maintained, wetsuits come clean and dry, and there's even a thoughtful lunch provided. The real bonus is the logistics: you finish right at the base instead of enduring a long bus ride back in wet gear. The overall vibe is professional yet playful, with guides who genuinely care about creating memorable experiences while keeping everyone safe on the water.
Such a great experience! If you’re looking for an immersive experience, ask for Killian to guide your squad! He brings the jokes, the local lore, and has a magical way of bringing the whole group together. Paired with his MAD technical skills and passion for life, you’re sure to have an epic time in his boat. The entire crew at ARO cares about you having a great experience. No detail is over looked. The wetsuits are clean and dry, the boats are high quality and even the lunch is a tasty calorie dense treat to help power you through the day. Some tips if you are considering this trip. 1.) Do it! You won’t be disappointed. 2.) Follow the rowing pattern of the person in front of you. 3.) Leave your valuables in the car. 4.) Bring your kids. They will be safe as long as they follow the direction of the guide. 5.) Order the photo package at the Outfitter. The photos are awesome but purchasing them individually after the ride is pricy. There is a photographer traveling to snap photos of you along the way so the price is definitely justified. Just save a few bucks by buying the package there. 6.) You must tide the bull, jump off the boulder, and surf the bubble beater! 🏄♂️ YOLO.
