    FAQs

Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, towel, dry change of clothes, and a glasses strap if needed. In summer, wear a bathing suit, shorts, T-shirt, and old sneakers or strapped sandals—no flip-flops. In spring and fall, wear warm non-cotton socks, non-cotton layers, a thin hat that fits under your helmet, and old sneakers you can get wet.

No prior rafting experience is required. Summer or fall trips are recommended for first-time rafters, while spring trips are recommended for more experienced rafters seeking a greater challenge. All swimming abilities are welcome, but you may end up in the river.

The rafting trip may use an alternate section of the Hudson River or be canceled if water conditions are unsafe or unsuitable. In that case, you can choose a full refund or reschedule.
