Itinerary

1. Meet at one of four Sydney pickup points: 7:00am at Mercure Sydney Central, 818–820 George St, via the Little Regent St entrance; 7:20am at Hilton Hotel, 255 Pitt St, near the secure car park entrance, not in the lobby; 7:35am at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, 96 Harrington St, at the rear entrance; or 7:45am at Paradox Sydney Hotel, 27 O'Connell St.
2. Cross Sydney Harbour Bridge as your guide shares regional history and points out landmarks.
3. Drive through Cessnock, the gateway to the Hunter Valley wine region, and learn about its coal mining heritage.
4. Explore boutique wineries in Pokolbin, Australia's oldest wine region, for 3 hours. Visit wineries such as Hanging Tree, Ernest Hill and Saddler's Creek, meet winemakers and taste up to 20 Hunter Valley wines.
5. Enjoy a 1-hour lunch at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort with lake views. Choose from hot and cold options, accompanied by an included glass of wine.
6. Pass Hunter Valley Gardens, a 60-acre botanical garden with themed displays, a Rose Garden with 5,000 blooms and the Lake Walk.
7. Spend 30 minutes at Hunter Valley Cheese Factory for a guided tasting of local artisan cheeses. Discover how they're made and how they complement wine.
8. Finish your winery visits with 30 minutes at Saddler's Creek Wines or another boutique winery. Taste wines as winemakers share stories of the region's growing conditions and more than 200 years of winemaking.
9. Cross the Hawkesbury River via Mooney Mooney Bridge on the journey back to Sydney.
10. Return to your original Sydney pickup point at 6:30pm.
