Hurricane Winter Farm School 10-Week Program

Explore how a working farm adapts through winter in this hands-on program for children. Care for animals in cold weather, tend winter crops, and take on practical projects that connect seasonal farm work with agriculture and American history.

Learning follows an inquiry-based approach, giving children space to ask questions, work together, and build confidence through real responsibility.

• Care for animals in cold and snowy conditions

Important details

• Ages 4–11 only
• Children must be fully potty trained
• Children must participate in group activities, follow directions, respect instructors, and stay with the group
• A parent or guardian must be available to return to the farm immediately if contacted about behavioral concerns
• After removal from a session for behavioral concerns, children may return only with a parent or guardian on site for the full class
• Classes take place rain or shine
