The operator may modify, postpone, or cancel for weather; if the trip cannot proceed safely, you'll be offered rescheduling or a full refund.
This Knik River paddling trip requires long-distance paddling and meeting the American Canoe Association's Essential Eligibility Criteria, including maintaining your airway, floating face-up in a life jacket, entering and exiting a paddlecraft, and recovering from a capsize independently or with permitted companion assistance.
Wear a non-cotton base layer, quick-drying shirt and pants, a fleece, rain and wind layers, a hat with a drawstring or beanie, and shoes that can get wet and dry quickly. Avoid flip-flops.
Cold-water immersion is possible. Wetsuits are available upon advance request, and guides may require an exposure suit in extreme weather, high winds, or particularly cold conditions.
