- Ages 12+ only; ages 12–17 require a parent or legal guardian snorkeling alongside them
- Minimum weight: 90 lbs
- Good swimming skills and comfort swimming in deep water without flotation are required. Life jackets and flotation devices are not permitted
- This physically demanding activity requires good physical condition and is not recommended during pregnancy
- Not wheelchair accessible. Beach access involves multiple flights of stairs, uneven surfaces, and entry into the ocean from shore
- Wear a wetsuit throughout the tour. Supplied wetsuits are available for weights from 90 to 295 lbs
- Complete both the release and waiver forms before arriving
- Arrive at least 30 minutes early for parking, check-in, and getting into gear. Tours depart on time
Cancellation Policy
Full refund with 24+ hours’ notice. Within 24 hours, cancellations and no-shows are nonrefundable and cannot be rescheduled. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather, safety, or other unforeseen circumstances. Arrivals more than 10 minutes late count as no-shows.

No. Street parking near La Jolla Cove is free but difficult to find. Paid lots at 888 and 875 Prospect Street are usually easier; parking charges are separate from the listed price. Optional guide gratuity is also not included; around 15% is typical, with cash, Venmo, or card accepted after the tour.
