Challenge yourself on an advanced, reef-style barrel wave that wedges and breaks in fairly shallow water. In this 1-hour session, expect a split peak with both rights and lefts.
- Paddle hard and pop up fast as the wave builds from the outside
- Pull in for 3–4 seconds in the tube when conditions line up
- Ride both frontside and backside barrels on split peaks
- Plan for 10–12 waves during your 1-hour session
- Watch your line as waves break in fairly shallow water
