Paddle St. Helena Sound and explore Pine Island's beach at low tide
2.5 hours
Kayak, life vest, instruction
Paddle across St. Helena Sound to Pine Island, where you'll beach your kayak and explore the shoreline at low tide. This moderate open-water outing combines exercise, instruction, and opportunities to watch for birds and dolphins.
Full refund with 48 hours' notice. 50% refund for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance. No refund for no-shows. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Experienced open-water kayakers only. Experience with sounds, tidal changes, and possible high winds is required. The tour requires paddling your own kayak and getting in and out of it unassisted.
Bring water in a refillable bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, a waterproof dry bag for your phone, and clothes you are comfortable getting wet in.
Weather can change rapidly, and wind, tidal currents, and river currents may affect the paddle. Be prepared for changing conditions on the Pine Island tour.
