Important details
- A valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement is required. Bring it for inspection on arrival; a photo of the endorsed license is also required.
- The included insurance covers riders ages 21+. Riders under 21 require a motorcycle-endorsed license and their own comprehensive insurance.
- Fuel and applicable service, damage, violation, and late-return charges are not included in the listed price. Return the motorcycle with a full tank of 92-octane gasoline; otherwise, a $25 fuel charge applies.
- Taking this motorcycle off-road or on the south-side route to or from Hana incurs a minimum $500 service charge.
- Damage responsibility includes the first $5,000 of motorcycle damage regardless of fault, plus rental revenue lost while the motorcycle is unavailable for repairs or parts. You are also responsible for vandalism damage, lost or stolen tools and accessories, and mechanical damage caused by negligent operation or failure to perform normal maintenance.
- A $50 charge applies to each lost key, flat tire, dead battery, missing registration card, or missing no-fault insurance card. A missing license plate costs $125. A lost or damaged helmet incurs a minimum $100 charge, including for scratches or scuffs.
- Tire-changing and roadside-service costs are your responsibility. Parking, traffic, and other legal fines also apply separately, along with related claims and legal expenses arising from your use of the motorcycle. Unpaid balances incur 1% interest per month plus applicable collection costs.
- Keep the motorcycle on Maui and on paved roads. Do not use the south-side route to or from Hana. All motorcycles are tracked by Global Positioning System (GPS).
- Only you, as the renter, are authorized to drive. Follow traffic laws; do not race, drive recklessly or under the influence, tow anything, transport people or property for hire, or carry surfboards, kayaks, canoes, or gliders.
- Do not transfer or sublease the rental or attach equipment without written permission. Violating the rental terms can end your right to use the motorcycle, invalidate insurance coverage, and result in deposit forfeiture or additional charges.
- Wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Sign the required waiver before riding; you can sign it in person on arrival.
- Check the engine oil at every refueling. Remove the keys and leave the motorcycle locked when it is not in use. File a police report immediately after damage and within 2 hours of an accident.
- If the motorcycle is missing or stolen, return its keys. Failure to return the keys, make a required police report, or cooperate can leave you responsible for rental charges until the motorcycle is recovered.
- Check the motorcycle's condition before riding and remove your personal belongings before returning it. The supplied motorcycle may be substituted because of maintenance needs.
- Return the motorcycle by the agreed due-back date and time. Returns 30 minutes or more late incur at least one hour of additional rental charges. If a late return causes the next reservation to be lost, you are liable for that reservation's full charges. Overdue motorcycles are reported to police as missing vehicles.
