Important details
- A valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement is required. Bring your license and a photo of it for the required license check.
- Included insurance coverage requires age 21+. If you're under 21, a motorcycle-endorsed license and your own comprehensive insurance are required.
- Fuel and incident-related charges are not included in the listed price. Return the motorcycle with a full tank of 92-octane gasoline; otherwise, a $25 fuel charge applies.
- Riding off-road or taking the south-side route to or from Hana on this motorcycle incurs a minimum $500 service charge.
- You're liable for motorcycle damage, including the first $5,000 regardless of fault, and rental income lost while the motorcycle is unavailable for repairs or parts. Liability also includes vandalism and mechanical damage caused by negligent operation or failure to provide normal maintenance.
- Separate charges apply for lost or stolen tools, tires and accessories, tire changes, and roadside service. You'll also be responsible for parking and traffic fines and costs arising from violations of the rental terms.
- A $50 charge applies for each lost key, flat tire, dead battery, missing registration card or missing no-fault insurance card. A missing license plate incurs a $125 charge. A lost or damaged helmet incurs a minimum $100 charge.
- Keep the motorcycle on Maui and on paved roads. Do not take the south-side route to or from Hana. All motorcycles are GPS-tracked.
- You are the only authorized driver. Follow traffic laws; do not race, ride recklessly, ride under the influence, tow another vehicle, transport people or property for hire, or sublease the motorcycle. Violating these operating rules ends your right to use the motorcycle and invalidates insurance coverage.
- Wear closed-toed shoes and long pants. Do not carry surfboards, kayaks, canoes or gliders, or attach equipment without written permission.
- Complete the waiver before riding; you can sign it in person on arrival.
- Check the motorcycle's condition before riding and check engine oil at every refueling. Lock the motorcycle and remove the keys when it is not in use. Remove your belongings before returning it.
- Make an immediate police report for any damage, and file a police report within 2 hours of an accident. Failure to report or cooperate, or failure to return the keys after theft, can leave you responsible for rental charges until the motorcycle is recovered.
- The reserved motorcycle may be substituted because of scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.
- Return the motorcycle by the agreed date and time. Returns 30 minutes or more late incur at least one hour of additional rental charges, which are not included in the listed price. Late returns may also make you liable for a lost subsequent reservation. Motorcycles not returned by the due date are reported to police as missing.
