Take the helm or relax on a private sail aboard Galene
5 hours
Up to 4 people
Captain, safety gear, galleyware
Make the charter your own with optional hands-on sailing or time to relax aboard Galene. Bring your preferred refreshments and settle into a private day on the water.
Boarding & Welcome (11:00-11:10)
Meet your captain and step aboard Galene. After a brief safety orientation and a quick tour of the boat, depart the dock.
Sailing the Rappahannock (11:10-12:30)
We cast off and make our way up the Rappahannock River. Our route carries us beneath the Robert O. Norris Bridge and into the calm, scenic waters of Locklies Creek.
Lunch at Merroir (12:30~2:00)
We arrive at Merroir, the waterfront tasting room of the Rappahannock River Oyster Company. Enjoy oysters harvested fresh daily—served raw or grilled—alongside small plates from the outdoor grill. Soak in wide river views and the relaxed, open-air atmosphere.
Afternoon Sail Home (2:00-4:00)
After lunch, step back aboard Galene for a peaceful return sail across the river. This is the perfect time to unwind, take photos, and enjoy the breeze as we make our way home.
Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking. After that, customer-initiated cancellations forfeit the 50% deposit. Full refund if the captain cancels due to unsafe conditions, steady rain, or unpleasant weather.

We had the most amazing sunset cruise aboard Pisces with Captain Clay! As locals, we absolutely loved getting out on the water and seeing the area we love from a different perspective. The sunset was beautiful, the water was peaceful, and the whole experience was incredibly relaxing and special. Captain Clay is such a wonderful captain and host. He has so much local knowledge and was happy to share it along the way, which made the experience even more enjoyable. He was also incredibly welcoming and accommodating to our older family members, making sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. It truly felt like one of those evenings you wish you could bottle up and keep. We laughed, relaxed, enjoyed the beautiful Rappahannock River sunset, and made some really special memories together. We couldn’t recommend Captain Clay and Pisces more highly. We absolutely loved every minute!
