Cruise San Diego delivers consistently excellent experiences, and it shows in how often reviewers mention staff by name. Captain Vanessa, bartender Cole, and cruise director Derwayne all get enthusiastic shoutouts for being friendly, knowledgeable, and going above and beyond. The boats are clean and comfortable, with full-service bars offering reasonably priced drinks. Guests appreciate the smooth sailing, well-organized operations, and clear communication about parking and check-in. The sunset cruises are particularly popular, with many praising the beautiful views and relaxing atmosphere. Wildlife sightings like dolphins, sea lions, and migrating gray whales add special moments to the trips. The crew excels at sharing educational information about sea life and the area. One minor note: there's an optional VIP upgrade for preferred boarding that isn't always clearly disclosed upfront, which caught a couple guests off guard. Overall though, the value and experience have people saying they'd absolutely come back for another cruise.
Great sunset tour. Loved seeing the sea lions and seals and exploring the harbor. The sunset was beautiful and they gave great views from both sides of the boat.
