Captain Rob and his team have built something special here on the bayou. The vibe is pure fun, with karaoke setups, great sound systems, and captains who aren't just driving the boat but actively making the experience memorable. Rob gets particular love for his singing voice (apparently does a killer Billy Joel) and his ability to turn celebrations into genuine parties. Groups love bringing their own coolers, picking their playlists, and having the space feel intimate and personalized. Several bachelorette parties mentioned this as a highlight of their trips. One review stands out as a cautionary note about cancellation policies and communication. A customer felt misled about refund terms when weather threatened their plans. If you're booking well in advance for a group event, getting cancellation policies clearly documented upfront would be smart. That said, the overwhelmingly positive feedback suggests most people have a blast, especially those celebrating special occasions with friends and family. Captain Will also gets shoutouts for delivering great experiences.
We scheduled a 10am tour at the end of July. A few days before, we got a call asking if we could move it earlier as we would be more likely to see birds and less likely to bake in the sun. I'm so glad they asked! When we arrived, we got a printed list of birds we would be likely to see so we could check them off as we found them. Though it was in the 90s on shore, it felt cool on the water, and our birding son logged several lifers. We even saw a young alligator, and a bonus racoon. Captain Pip was knowledgeable about the different species and helped us with identifications. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
