North Shore Shark Adventures delivers consistently exceptional shark cage diving experiences with a crew that genuinely cares about both safety and guest enjoyment. Reviewers repeatedly praise the knowledgeable, friendly staff who create a comfortable atmosphere even for those nervous about sharks or open water. The crew's passion for marine life shines through, and they're known for going above expectations—one guest was allowed to stay in the cage for both rotations when they were having such a great time. Expect to see plenty of Galapagos sharks, typically 15-20 per trip, with occasional bonus sightings of dolphins and other marine life. The experience itself involves a relaxing 15-20 minute boat ride to the cage, where groups of about six take turns in the water for roughly 15 minutes each. The boat offers both sunny and shaded seating options. Multiple reviewers mention this is their second or third time booking, which speaks volumes about the quality. Motion sickness medication is recommended given the open water conditions. Plan to use facilities before boarding since there's no bathroom on the boat and the harbor restrooms are pretty basic.
Truly an incredible experience! Matty and Ella were great! I ended up falling into the water when trying to go down the ladder. My leg got caught in the top of ladder and I was stuck. Matty immediately jumped into the water to help release my foot. He also continuously asked if I was ok and showed genuine concern. You see many sharks and it’s truly incredible to watch them swim around you. My only “negative” comment is the water was extremely choppy making it hard to control yourself without holding on to the cage, however the company cannot control Mother Nature and Matty did warn us that winds were picking up and the water would be choppy before we departed. Seeing the sharks outweighs the waters conditions so please do not let that comment deter you from this once in a lifetime experience. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
