So we were a family of 4 coming out to Jamaica to do a variety of things.
I emailed Lorette at Your Jamaican Tour Guide a list of everything we wanted to do whilst visiting Jamaica and she honestly couldn't have been any more helpful, she was great and answered the many questions and queries we had.
Lorette and Alrick both helped up set up our itinerary which included a trip to visit my husband's family home in Clarendon, Kingston day trip, an over night stay in Negril at Rick's Cafe and Seven Mile Beach, Dunns River Falls, Mystic Mountain and Nine Mile.
On our first day trip, it was to Clarendon and we had a guide called Mark. He was amazing from the moment we met him, he was friendly, made us all feel welcome and was so funny with a wealth of knowledge, we had many a good conversation about the island, patois (my boys asked about certain words lol,) music, history and so much more, it was non stop.
My husband hadn't been to his parents home in a while, Mark knew the area and came out with us and made the day for us all an enjoyable and memorable one. My 2 boys took to him straight away which doesn't happen often. Thank you for this Mark, it honestly meant so much!
Our next trip was to Negril, Mark made the long drive there fun and interesting for us all. At Rick's Cafe he then even championed me to be brave enough to try the cliff jumping, and recommended we try their special 'beergarita' thank you Mark. At the hotel on Seven Mile the evening meal was just pure laughter and good vibes too.
On our 3rd trip to Kingston, Mark took us to the Bob Marley Museum making sure we got our tickets and to our guide, then to Emancipation Park and the stadium at Independence Park, we were not rushed and nothing was too much trouble. On our way back we drove through Beverly Hills and Mark pointed out many things of interest to us which we all loved! Thank you Mark, an amazing guide and real asset to the company, felt more like family then a guide!
Our 4th trip was to Dunns River and Mystic Mountain, for this trip we had a guide called Charles. Another great guide who was attentive making sure we knew where to go and how to get our tickets and nothing was too much bother, lots of chatter and laughter. Thank you Charles!
Our last trip was to Nine Mile and we had a guide called Wayne. On the drive there Wayne pointed out lots of facts about the area and nature, which was very interesting. Wayne went with us to get our tickets and showed us to our guide for the Nine Mile tour. Thank you Wayne for making our day an enjoyable one!
We honestly can not recommend Your Jamaican Tour Guide enough, when we come back to Jamaica we will only be booking our transfers and tours with them! Thank you all again 😀
