My good friends and their spouses are staying on Long Island with us, and I recommend them stay at the Oheka Castle Hotel. This castle was once the country cottage of American financier Otto Herman Cahn. Built in 1919, it was New York’s largest private residence and one of the inspirations for Gatsby’s estate in The Great Gatsby. Many celebrities have held their weddings here, and many movies, TV shows, and music videos have been filmed here, including Taylor Swift’s music video. The interior decoration of the castle is very vintage and stylish, evoking the luxurious lifestyle of a wealthy family from over a hundred years ago.
