This heritage railroad operation has built a loyal following through a thoughtful mix of themed excursions, from the popular Brew-to-Brew events and charcuterie rides to Santa trains and seasonal ramblers. Riders consistently praise the beautifully preserved and well-maintained vintage cars, with the 1931 first-class car earning particular admiration. The staff comes up frequently in reviews as friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. A few practical notes worth knowing: the optional boxed meals from the onboard food vendor have received mixed feedback, so you may want to plan accordingly. Some riders also noted that it can be hard to hear the guide's commentary when the train gets noisy, which is worth keeping in mind if the historical narration is a draw for you. Overall, this feels like a labor of love run by real train enthusiasts, and that comes through in the experience. Repeat visitors are common, with many families and couples returning for multiple events across different seasons. If you're looking for a relaxed, scenic outing with a bit of novelty and charm, it's well worth booking ahead to catch one of their special events.
