Charlie and his team have created something special here with their puzzle-based scavenger hunts around Waikiki. Reviewers consistently praise the owner's friendly, patient approach, particularly when working with families and large groups. The puzzles themselves hit a sweet spot: challenging enough to be engaging but designed so everyone can complete them at their own leisurely pace. Most groups mention getting in their 10,000 steps while discovering plaques, statues, and historical spots they'd normally walk right past. The experiences work remarkably well across different ages and group types. Parents bring young kids, friend groups celebrate birthdays, and even high school sports teams use them for bonding activities. Popular options like The Lost Key and The Safe take you through Waikiki with 16 clues that blend puzzle-solving with local culture and history. The app is simple to use, and several reviewers note it's mostly shaded from the sun, which makes for a comfortable few hours. People genuinely seem to discover their own neighborhood in new ways, which says a lot about the thoughtful design behind these adventures.
Lots of fun with the Scaventour scavenger hunt. Parts were challenging but it was a good experience for the kids. Did some math and pattern matching. Definitely needed a bit of parents help with kids 7 and 10. The tour was mostly inside shielded from the sun which was a nice break from the pool. Only one part was outside. Recommended. Fun times!
