- Accessibility is limited, and standard boarding is via stairs. Wheelchair or small electric scooter assistance requires Premium Car #107, The Explorer. The Van Buren boarding lift has a 500 lb capacity. Onboard restrooms are not wheelchair accessible.
- Pets are not allowed; service animals are permitted.
- Pick up your physical boarding tickets at the gift shop. Your email confirmation is not a boarding ticket.
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before departure to check in and collect your tickets. Allow extra time for Santa, hot cocoa, and cookies before boarding.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 48 hours before departure for a full refund or credit. Tickets are otherwise non-refundable. You'll receive a full refund or credit if the operator cancels due to track maintenance, extreme weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. No-shows are charged the full price.

Yes. Strollers are allowed and will be stored during the ride.
Free parking is available near the depot in the Freedom Park lots and on Webster Street between 7th and 8th Streets, a few blocks from the station. Downtown Van Buren street parking is also free unless otherwise signed.
Seats are assigned except for some coach seating during the Holiday Express. Seating assignments may be adjusted as needed.
