Raft Class I–IV rapids on the Peshtigo River in spring or summer
2 - 3 Hours
Raft, gear, transportation
Explore the Peshtigo River on a guided rafting trip that runs in spring and summer. Tackle Class I–IV rapids on a trip length that varies with water levels.
Ages 10 and older. Summer water levels can be low and rocky, and raft size may be smaller depending on conditions.
No refunds. You can reschedule, but you will not be refunded to your original form of payment. Reschedule at least 48 hours before your original trip date. Any balance due must be paid not less than 30 days in advance; unpaid trip space will be cancelled.
Wear cold-weather layers. Bring an unlined windbreaker, a wool or synthetic pullover sweater, and wool socks. Add a polypropylene long underwear top if you have one. Spring trips include Farmer John style wetsuit and bootie rentals.
Raft type depends on water levels and is decided the day of your trip. In spring you could be in anything from a larger guided raft to a single-person inflatable kayak (funyak). In summer, count on a single-person raft unless there has been a lot of rain.
Yes. It’s always a guided trip, but the guide may be in their own raft.
Check in 30 minutes prior to your trip at our Peshtigo River office located at W14073 County Rd C, Silver Cliff, WI 54104.
Kosir's delivers an outstanding rafting adventure with guides who clearly love what they do. Names like Mike, Michael, Jason, Dillon, and Josh come up repeatedly, praised for balancing expert safety instruction with genuine fun and humor. First-timers especially appreciate the clear guidance and patient approach—one reviewer mentioned a guide checking in multiple times after a scary moment in the rapids. The Menominee and Peshtigo rivers offer different experiences with Class 4 and 5 rapids, and you'll often get to tackle the bigger sections twice. The owner's hands-on approach really stands out, even personally leading impromptu trips. Beyond the river, the campground creates a full experience. The on-site tavern gets love for its Friday fish fry and friendly bartenders, plus scenic river views while you eat. Reviewers talk about making this an annual tradition, which speaks volumes about the overall atmosphere and hospitality. One practical tip: bring serious bug spray, as the mosquitoes don't mess around. The consistent theme across reviews is staff who genuinely care about creating memorable experiences, whether you're a seasoned rafter or completely new to the sport.
Just took a group of high school kids Whitewater rafting here. They had absolutely the best time and the underclassmen were asking if we can go again next year! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and worked really well with the highschoolers. Very much recommend this outfitter if you are looking for an activity in the area!
