Itinerary

Start time varies depending on the month, but the bioluminescence is only visible when it is dark.

There will be a safety and naturalist talk before leaving the beach which can last 30-45 minutes.

The tour is an out and back along the shore of Port Gamble Bay, about 1.2 miles. We will be on the water for about 1-1.5 hours.

Important details

• Ages 17 and under require adult supervision; ages 11 and under must ride in the same boat as an adult
• Keep your life jacket on at all times while on the water
• Alcohol and substances that affect sound decision-making are not permitted
• Wear secure shoes that can get wet; flip-flops are not permitted
• Expect a sandy or rocky beach launch and possible wet feet
• Stay close to shore and do not paddle into the center of the bay
• Personal kayaks and paddleboards are not permitted
• Trips may operate in light rain but do not operate in heavy wind, heavy rain, or lightning
