Private supporter tour to observe chimpanzees in their habitats
60-90 Minutes
Up to 20 people
Private tour, Chimp viewing
Join a volunteer-led private walking tour and observe chimpanzees as they roam their habitats. Tours are by appointment only and run nearly every day at 10:00 or 11:00 am.
Book at least 72 hours in advance. Chimp sightings are not guaranteed because the animals choose where to spend their day.
Deposits are non-refundable. Request refunds at least 24 hours before your tour date. No tour costs can be refunded for requests made less than 24 hours before your tour date, but tours can be rescheduled. Tours run in most weather; travel advisories may mean rescheduling.
Dress for an outdoor moderate hike. Wear closed-toed, sturdy walking shoes. Bring a refillable water bottle. Pack an umbrella or rain gear for light rain.
Expect a walking tour with some steep grades over 60–90 minutes.
You can request a mobility support cart that holds up to 5 people; select this when booking if you need it. Wheelchair accommodation can also be arranged ahead of time on a regular supporter tour.
