Manatee season typically runs during the cooler weather months, from November 15 through March 31. While the company has a strong reputation for finding manatees when some other companies do not, guests are encouraged to keep their expectations realistic. The team is responsible for providing a fun experience, but Mother Nature ultimately decides where the manatees will be.

Captain Ron emerges as the clear standout here, earning praise from guests for his knowledge, engaging personality, and uncanny ability to find manatees even outside peak season. Multiple reviewers mention he's called "the manatee whisperer" for good reason. The tours offer excellent variety, from swimming with manatees to scalloping adventures that consistently yield impressive catches. Guests appreciate thoughtful touches like heated boats, provided gear, and bottled water, plus the team's flexibility with rescheduling when weather doesn't cooperate. The experiences feel intimate and well-paced. Several guests noted ending up on smaller groups or private tours, which meant more personalized attention and less crowded wildlife encounters. The captains strike a good balance between guiding guests to the best spots and respecting the animals' space, letting interactions unfold naturally. Whether you're looking to collect gallons of scallops or get nose boops from curious manatees, the crew clearly knows where to go and how to make it memorable.
What an amazing experience! The tour was beautiful, the captains were friendly and knowledgeable, and knew exactly where to go to find manatees. All of us were able to get in the water, even the 4 year old. It was a once in a lifetime experience and a memory we will always cherish.
