Know before you go
- Ages 8+ only
- Arrive water-ready at least 10 minutes before your start time
- Bring a towel
- Requires physically managing and paddling a surfboard
- Expect lessons to continue in light rain; driving rain or lightning cancels lessons
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 4 full days before your date for a full refund, less a 10% processing fee. No refund for cancellations within 4 days or no-shows. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
FAQs
A private surf lesson is recommended for ages 8–10, anyone needing extra help in the water, or anyone who prefers a more intimate setting and additional one-on-one time.
Lessons continue in light rain. Driving rain or lightning cancels lessons; weather cancellations are decided by EcoVentures Management and the City of Cape May Beach Patrol.
