This women-owned Crystal River operation has built a stellar reputation for manatee encounters and clear kayak tours. Guides like Kaitlyn and Kyle consistently earn praise for their deep knowledge of local wildlife, manatee behavior, and waterways. Reviewers highlight the thorough safety briefings and proper etiquette training for manatee interactions. The clear kayaks get special mention for providing unforgettable views of manatees swimming directly underneath. Equipment quality is solid, and the staff shows genuine care for matching tours to participants' comfort levels and abilities. One serious incident involving a kayak taking on water and sinking does raise questions about emergency response procedures. The reviewer, who couldn't swim and was the only one wearing a life jacket, felt the staff's reaction was inadequate. While this appears to be an isolated event among hundreds of glowing reviews, it's worth noting for anyone with water safety concerns. Overall though, the consistent praise for attentiveness, local expertise, and creating magical wildlife encounters makes this a top choice for Crystal River kayaking.
We had a great kayak trip on Crystal River with incredible wildlife all around us. We saw gentle manatees up close, lots of turtles, many birds, and even a baby alligator. The scenery was beautiful and the whole experience felt very peaceful. The staff was very helpful. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and unique outdoor adventures!
