- Arrive 15 minutes before departure for check-in and a safety briefing
- Expect a Harbor District parking charge, which is not included in the listed price
- Ages 5+ only; children ages 5–8 require one adult for each child
- Children under 12 months require a hands-free carrier
- Wear a life jacket at all times for children ages 12 and under
- No glass, alcohol, coolers, smoking, dogs or other animals, including service animals
- Non-motorized wheelchairs only for travelers under 200 lbs who can transfer with an attendant; motorized wheelchairs are not allowed
- Prepare for possible cancellation if the captain determines conditions are unsafe, including up to one hour before departure

Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed and vary by season. Spring may bring gray whales, humpbacks, orcas and dolphins; summer may bring humpbacks, blue whales and orcas; fall may bring humpbacks, blue whales and orcas; and winter may bring gray whales, orcas and occasional humpbacks.
If you do not see a whale or dolphin during the cruise, you will receive a whale check for another trip, subject to availability.
If you are prone to motion sickness, consider taking an over-the-counter remedy the night before and morning of your cruise. Stay outside for fresh air, look toward the horizon or a fixed point on land, and eat bland foods if needed. Relief Bands are available to rent aboard Sanctuary.
