- Children under 8 require an appropriate child safety seat. Bring and install the seat yourself; guides cannot install car seats
- National Park entrance fees apply to everyone 16 and older and are not included. Fees vary by residency; non-US residents without a non-resident annual pass may face additional fees, with stated amounts of $100 per person and $250 per America the Beautiful Pass
- Sign the required waiver before departure
- Be ready at your assigned pickup location a few minutes before pickup; guides may arrive 5–10 minutes later than scheduled

Dress in warm, insulating layers with a waterproof, breathable outer shell. Bring a wool or fleece hat, sunglasses, rain/wind/snow jacket, mittens or gloves, warm winter walking boots, personal items, and your camera. A small daypack is optional.
