Dress in warm, insulating layers with a waterproof outer shell. Bring a wool or fleece hat, gloves or mittens, warm winter walking boots and sunglasses. You'll be in and out of the vehicle, and winter conditions can be extreme. Pack personal medications, lip balm and a camera; a small daypack is optional.
