The guides here consistently create transformative experiences in Sedona's stunning landscape. Taylor, Minyan, Ethan, Christopher, and Dani each bring deep knowledge of the area's geology, flora, and spiritual significance while leading accessible yoga practices. Lance and Amber, who run the operation, are praised for their attentiveness and care in ensuring everything runs smoothly. Multiple reviewers mention being nervous about solo travel or group dynamics, but the small group sizes foster genuine connections that often become a highlight in themselves. The retreats focus on breathwork, mindfulness, and spiritual connection rather than fitness-driven yoga, which resonates deeply with participants seeking restoration over workout intensity. Groups typically range from six to ten people, creating an intimate atmosphere. The hikes accommodate various fitness levels with gentle to moderate trails leading to breathtaking vistas where yoga sessions take place beside streams, under ancient trees, or atop red rock formations. Solo travelers, friend groups, corporate teams, and mother-daughter pairs all report finding exactly what they needed. Many describe their experience as the best part of their Sedona visit, with several already planning return trips.
My daughter and I just returned from a five-day yoga retreat in Sedona, and it was a truly wonderful experience! This trip was a Christmas gift to my daughter, and since we haven’t had much time together in recent years, I thought it would be a special way to reconnect—and it absolutely was. Our group of eight (seven women and one man) was fantastic! Aside from my daughter and me, as well as two other women, everyone else attended solo, which made for a great mix of personalities and connections. The accommodations were good, though not exceptional. A smaller, more boutique-style hotel might have enhanced the retreat’s ambiance. The hotel did make an initial mistake with our room assignment, as well as with the two women traveling together, by not placing us in a suite as planned. Fortunately, we caught the error and were able to move. (A tip for future attendees: double-check that you're in the suite as listed in the itinerary.) Amber and Lance, the retreat owners and organizers, were quick to address the issue and made sure it was resolved—I'm pretty sure they gave the hotel a little well-deserved scolding! Our instructors, Taylor and Minyan, were both fantastic and knowledgeable, each bringing a unique perspective that complemented the retreat beautifully. The yoga itself wasn’t overly vigorous—it was more focused on breathwork and mindfulness, perfectly suited to the breathtaking Sedona landscape. Whether you’re a beginner or a more advanced practitioner, this retreat offers something meaningful. Beyond the yoga sessions, our group spent a lot of time together, forming strong connections that I hope will last beyond the retreat. It was an unforgettable experience, and I’m so grateful for the time spent with my daughter in such a peaceful, restorative setting.
