Ride the rails to a pumpkin patch and pick your own pumpkin to take home
1–1.5 hrs
Train ride, pumpkin, cider
Climb aboard "The Husking Bee" for a 20-minute round trip to the museum's own pumpkin patch. Geared toward families with young children, this fall fundraiser supports the all-volunteer Danbury Railway Museum.
Tickets are non-refundable unless the trains are canceled, including for weather. Trains operate rain or shine. If trains are canceled, refunds are issued; a free transfer may also be available. Transfers to another train of the same event type depend on availability and may incur a $10 per booking fee. Passage on a later train is not guaranteed if you miss your departure.
Product ID: 2THFRK
Free parking at the museum is limited. The Metro North Station, one block away, requires a parking permit on Saturdays and offers free parking on Sundays. Paid parking is always available at Patriot Parking Garage, also one block away; that charge is not included in the listed price.
Cancellation notices are posted on the museum's Facebook page first, then on its website.
Dress for the weather, as the pumpkin patch trains run rain or shine. Bring a tote bag to carry your sugar pumpkin home.
