Cruise 17 flat miles on the Pine Creek Rail Trail with a Blackwell shuttle pickup
3+ hour
Bike the Pine Creek Rail Trail from Ansonia to Blackwell on a crushed-limestone railbed with a gentle grade. Choose a 2pm or 5pm shuttle pickup at the Blackwell Access parking lot to finish your ride.
You must be 21+ to rent an e-bike. A non-refundable $10 per person deposit is required.
There is a $10 per person non-refundable deposit. Cancel with more than 48 hours notice for a refund of item price (minus $10 per person and processing fees). Less than 48 hours: no refund. No-shows charged full price. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Plan your ride so you can reach Blackwell by your chosen pickup time. For the 2pm shuttle, plan to leave PCO by 10am (or no later than 11am). For the 5pm shuttle, plan to leave PCO by 1pm (or no later than 2pm).
Shuttles leave promptly. If an additional shuttle has to run because you missed your chosen pickup, you will have to pay for an additional shuttle (confirm the amount with Greetwell before booking).
Conditions can change quickly, and temperatures can be 10–15 degrees cooler in the canyon. Check the weather and plan your gear accordingly.

Pine Creek Outfitters gets high marks from most visitors for their friendly, knowledgeable staff and reliable service. Shannon and her team consistently deliver on shuttles and bike rentals, with reviewers praising their flexibility and responsiveness. The electric bikes are a popular choice for tackling the rail trail, though some riders note the seats could use more padding for longer rides. Staff members go the extra mile by offering helpful recommendations for hikes, overlooks, and places to eat along the route. The shuttle service runs smoothly, with pickups described as punctual and drivers who know the area well. A few visitors mentioned some quirks with booking policies, particularly around shuttle logistics for solo riders, though this doesn't seem to derail most experiences. One reviewer noted encountering an unfriendly phone interaction, but this appears to be an isolated incident rather than the norm. Overall, travelers appreciate the convenience of having bikes and shuttles coordinated in one place, making it easy to explore Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon without the hassle of arranging your own transportation.
My husband and I used the Canyon Valet to move our vehicle from the southern terminus of the West Rim Trail to the northern terminus while we backpacked over 3 days. This is great service! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to people considering a one way hike of the PA Grand Canyon. They were even so kind to park our car close to the end of the trail. We were exhausted and having to car close was like a spiritual hug. Thank you Pine Creek Outfitters for making our weekend excursion worry free.
