Know before you go

• Meet at Baker Beach near the main entrance at 1772 Gibson Road, San Francisco
• Bring a valid California fishing license and provide your license number at booking
• Complete the required liability waiver for all participants
• Participants must be at least 16, able to swim, and able to stand for up to 3 hours
• Prior fishing experience is required; pier-based crabbing experience is strongly encouraged
• Waders are highly recommended; bring warm clothes, a towel, change of clothes, and snacks
• Expect the class to run in rain; wind and tides can substantially affect crabbing results
• Pay a $20 replacement charge if the provided snare is lost
