Important details
- Each person scattered at sea requires a disposition permit stating "Scatter at sea off the coast of Santa Barbara." The permit must be received at least 2 days before departure and accompany you on the day of the memorial
- A $25 fee per permit applies if paperwork must be refiled
- Boarding involves dock steps and a narrow side deck
- Remove your shoes before boarding. Swimming and outside food are not permitted onboard
- Illegal drugs, including marijuana, are prohibited. Alcohol consumption is limited for safety, and ages 21+ only may consume alcohol
- Arrive on time; arrivals more than 30 minutes after departure may be treated as a no-show
- Let the captain know upon arrival if you do not want photos taken during the charter used for advertising

Cancellation Policy
Cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund. At least 14 days before start, receive a 50% refund or full credit. Within 14 days, no refund, credit, or rescheduling without approval; approved rescheduling costs $150 per hour. Operator weather cancellations receive non-expiring credit. Major-holiday charters are nonrefundable after 24 hours; rescheduling costs $500.

Bring sun protection, including a hat, sunglasses, and non-spray reef-safe sunblock. Bring an extra layer for cooler conditions on the water; warm blankets are available aboard. If you are prone to motion sickness, consider taking medication before arrival.
Yes. Kelpie has local beer, regional wine, and water available aboard. Soft drinks are not served. Ages 21+ only may consume alcohol.
