Standing just south of Ketchikan along the Tongass Narrows, Saxman Totem Park draws you into the heart of Tlingit culture through towering red cedar poles that rise above a quiet village green. Each figure carved into the wood tells a story of lineage, legend, and place. At Saxman Totem Park, the poles are not relics behind glass but living cultural statements, many of them painstakingly restored or recarved by master artists whose families have shaped this tradition for generations.
